2nd/3rd Floor Hallway and Shower Cleaner

One man per floor, three times per week. Set time with the Proctor.



Before cleaning be sure to put on latex gloves, and check to make sure you have everything you need. It is good to always have trashcan liners, mop heads, and extra gloves on hand. If you have run out of anything, go to the laundry room for more. A set of chemicals should always be available, and the custodial staff will make sure that all of the bottles are filled up daily.

 

1. Clean the Shower

     a. Remove all hair from drain

     b. Discard any empty soap or shampoo bottles

     c. Remove shelf from shower room.

     c. Spray Bathroom Cleaner on the entire shower, including walls, floors, faucets, partitions, curtain bars, and drain, let sit for 2-3 minutes.

     d. Use the bathroom scrubber (blue Doodlepad scrubber with long handle) on the walls and floor until clean.

     e. Use a green scrubber pad on hard to reach places, specifically corners, shower faucet/knobs, and curtain bars.

          i. THERE SHOULD BE NO QUESTIONABLE RED, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, PURPLE, ORANGE, BLACK, OR OTHER COLORED MATERIALS GROWING ON ANY SURFACES.

     f. Pour Simple Green Lime Scale Remover down drains once a week to prevent clogs.

     g. Every Wednesday, custodial staff will wash the shower curtains. Before Wednesday take down the curtains and put them in the laundry room on top of the washers. Clean curtains can be found on the shelves in the laundry room near dryers.

     h. Rinse out scrubber pads in utility sink. Throw away any pads that are too dirty to reuse.

     i. Mop tile area in front of showers Use Simple Green Lime Scale Remover AND Breakdown, pour equal parts (about 2 cups) into bucket, mix with cold water

 

 

2. Clean Hallway

    a. Vacuum hallway. If any trash or other large items that shouldn’t be vacuumed up are in the hallway, remove them and throw them away.

    b. Use Carpet Deodorizer once per week.

 

All supplies should be in laundry room, pantry, or utility closet, feel free to stock closet with supplies you need.

 

If you are out of any supply, or you notice any stock is low, let the Proctor or SHD know as soon as possible.
