2nd/3rd Floor Bathroom Cleaner

Two men per floor, four times per week two times per week each. Set time with the Proctor.

Before cleaning be sure to put on latex gloves, and check to make sure you have everything you need. It is good to always have trashcan liners, mop heads, and extra gloves on hand. If you have run out of anything, go to the laundry room for more. A set of chemicals should always be available, and the custodial staff will make sure that all of the bottles are filled up daily.

1. Clean Entire Toilets and Urinals

     a. Flush all Toilets and Urinals

     b. Spray outside of toilets and urinals with blue Bathroom Cleaner, let sit, then wipe down with paper towels. Be sure to get the base of toilets and urinals as well the flushers and backs.

     c. Spray Toilet bowl cleaner in the toilet and urinal bowls and then scrub with toilet bowl brush.

     d. Rinse out brush thoroughly when done. Throw away brushes that are too dirty to reuse.

2. Clean the Stalls

     a. Spray All in One on all stall walls, wipe down with paper towels.

3. Clean the Sinks and Mirrors

     a. Spray the entire sinks, including base and faucet, with blue Bathroom Cleaner and let sit. Wipe down with paper towels.

     b. Once a week (both men) be sure to pour Simple Green Lime Scale Remover down the drains to prevent clogs.

     c. Spray blue Glass Cleaner on mirrors and window and wipe with paper towels.

4. Take Out Trash

     a. If trash is half full or more, take out and replace liner. Take trash out to dumpster behind building. DO NOT PUSH TRASH DOWN INTO BIN.

5. Sweep every day that you clean

     a. Pick up all trash on floor.

     b. Sweep with broom in utility closet.

     c. When finished stand the broom in the utility closet with the head towards the ceiling.

6. Mop every day that you clean

     a. Use Simple Green Lime Scale Remover AND Breakdown, pour equal parts (about 2 cups) into bucket, mix with cold water.

     b. Mop ENTIRE floor, including behind toilets. Move trash and recycling to get beneath these bins. If any tough spots appear, use scrubber pads.

     c. Rinse out mop and bucket in utility sink.

     d. Wring out mop.

     e. When finished stand the mop in the utility closet with the head towards the ceiling.

     f. Take any dirty mop heads to laundry room for cleaning. Hang over side of utility sink.

7. Replace toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap when needed regardless if it is during your set shift time. 

All supplies should be in laundry room, pantry, or utility closet, feel free to stock closet with supplies you need.

 

If you are out of any supply, or you notice any stock is low, let the Proctor or SHD know as soon as possible.
